ASSISTANCE SOUGHT The Sunday morning “Drive-In” Services have been well attended and we hope you’re all enjoying them as the alternative to our inability of worshiping in the Sanctuary during these trying times. The Pastors and leadership of the various Boards are hoping we will be back worshiping in a more “normal” fashion sooner rather than later. We’re anticipating having several more “Drive-In” Services on the 1 st & 3 rd Sundays of the month. Up until now, the members of the Board of Trustees have been volunteering with the duties required to organize and direct traffic at the beginning and end of the services.

We have a need for additional volunteers to help us with the upcoming services on July 5 & July 19 and ask anyone who is willing and able to help to please contact Karl Riehn directly so that a date for your assistance might be scheduled. Karl’s email is karl@riehninsurance.com  or phone him at 312-301-1000. Services start at 9:00 am and volunteers should plan to arrive at 7:45 am to help make the needed preparations.
Celebration of the 25 th Anniversary of
Pastor Blonski’s Ordination
We are pleased to announce to you that on June 25, 2020, the Rev. Edward A. Blonski will be celebrating the 25 th anniversary of his ordination into the pastoral ministry. Unfortunately, the plans to celebrate this milestone of Pastor Blonski has been postponed due to the Covid 19 pandemic. We anxiously await the day when we can return to our worship patterns at St. Matthew for the celebration of this event. The staff of St. Matthew will keep you informed of the date and plans of the celebration. We bring prayers of celebration to the Lord for the 25 years of faithful service to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and the service of Pastor Blonski here at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and School.
BIBLE/DEVOTIONAL READINGS – For the week starting June 28, Bible readings are provided to assist you in daily reading and prayer. Click on the Bible passage to read the Scripture lesson at BibleGateway.com .
