Paula+ Returns Monday July 29
Bishop Diane and the Vestry encouraged Paula+ to take a sabbatical. Paula+ has chosen to do so in vacation spurts. The first spurt was the month of July. During that time, Peter+ will be priest in charge. If there is a pastoral emergency please call Peter+ at 626 375 5483 or Hank Gatlin at 310 987 8167.

Thank You Choir!
This week is the last summer choir. A huge thank you to our regular and summer choir singers for enriching our words each Sunday with the gift of music, helping us all to enrich our experience of the Holy and joyful. After a well-earned vacation through August, they will be back on September 8. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:15 p.m. No audition—we will teach you! Contact Jeannie Cobb to learn more!

Volunteer at Harbor Interfaith with St. Francis Parishioners
Next Thursday, August 1, and Every 1st Thursday of the month, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Join St. Francis volunteers helping bag and stock groceries for the working poor and homeless which Harbor Interfaith helps to help themselves. Contact— Hank Gatlin and/or sign up in the church office.
Donations also welcome - toiletries (esp. toothpaste/brushes, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap/gel, deodorant, and razors & shaving cream). Food—peanut butter & jelly, and tuna. Please place items in the Harbor Interfaith baskets in the narthex & church office.

A Men's Corner: Connecting With Other Men At St. Francis
Wednesday, August 14, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. at the Corner Bakery, 1868 S. Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach .
Rev. Peter Huang and Canon Hank Gatlin will host this monthly fellowship time for men. Come connect with other men at St. Francis, join in each other's spiritual journey over a meal or cup of coffee. Let us know if you can join us—or just stop by!

Time to gear up for the st. Francis annual rummage sale. Start cleaning out your unwanted, but usable treasures. Clothing, knick-knacks, kitchenware, sporting goods, small furniture, electronics etc.
Help us sort, price and display all of the merchandise. Starting Mon. Aug. 5th. from 9:30am until 2pm, weekdays.

Book donations—drop them off beginning Aug 5, on the table on the loggia (right side of the parish hall facing the lower patio).  Please no magazines, textbooks, scientific books, encyclopedias or videos as these do not sell. Money raised goes to our scholarship students for their textbooks and educational materials. Summer is a great time to clean our bookshelves to make room for a terrific book you might find at the St. Anne’s Book Sale!
