Fourth Sunday Family Service
This Sunday October 28, 10 a.m.
It's time again for our fourth Sunday family service - this month we have a special sports-themed coffee hour after 10 a.m. worship. Have the entire family wear their favorite sports jersey to church. Hot dogs and popcorn too! So many of us love sports and frequently sports can keep us from church, but remember that God loves us wherever we are!!! But come this Sunday!!! (The Rams are on at 1:30!)
Come Delight In Beautiful Music!
Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo
This Sunday October 28, 4:00 p.m.
The St Francis Choir invites you for an Evensong Service filled with beautiful music! Our choir and a small orchestra will lead the service. The Evensong is a traditional service of prayer for the evening, and we will enjoy the afternoon light streaming through our windows as we worship the God of Creation through music. This is a lovely service to share with friends. No admission charge, a free-will offering will be received.

Abundant Table Farm Field Trip!
This Sunday, October 28!!
We are looking forward to a great outing to the Abundant Table Ministries and Farm with our Youth and their families this coming Sunday!

REMINDER Please submit your electronic registration form no later than 5pm this Friday, October 26th (tomorrow!).
You'll also need to complete the Abundant Table Liability Form (which you can either email to Rev. Laurel or bring with you on Sunday).

Together we'll have some fun on the farm as we get our hands dirty, harvest some food, and help out on the farm. Together we'll participate in Farm Church, and explore what our faith tradition teaches us about stewardship for the earth. Our time at the Abundant Table will wrap up with a shared meal.

Departure time from St. Francis: 1:00 pm Estimated return time: 8:00-8:30 pm
See you Sunday!

Ingathering Sunday - 'Transforming Generosity'
Sunday November 4
We are in the midst of our Stewardship Campaign. Please remember to turn in your pledges by In-gathering Sunday, November 4th . Please consider pledging if you haven’t before and increasing your pledge if you are able. Let’s keep supporting the mission of St. Francis. Thanks to everyone for your generosity. Can't find your pledge form?
Habitat For Humanity
Saturday, November 10, 8:00 to 3:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch provided. 15 volunteers needed, plus donations for donor brick wall
Once again, God’s people are in need of a good carpenter. St. Francis is very excited to be joining together again with Habitat For Humanity to help build a home for a family in need. Please come be a part of this wonderful event or make a donation to support our Build Day. No construction experience is necessary. The only requirement is a desire to help make a difference in the lives of others.
To fund our Build Day, the St. Francis community is pledging $2,500 to Habitat For Humanity. Please consider making a donation to this very worthy cause. To help fund raise, the St. Francis community will present the family that will live in the house with an artistic "brick wall". Each brick in this wall will contain the name of a St. Francis donor. Br icks can be purchased for $50. Checks should be made payable to “St. Francis Church” with Habitat for Humanity in the memo section. Please contact Mike Spalding to sign up, or with any questions at (310) 897-3097.
Military Outreach Packing
Sunday, November 11, at 11:30 a.m., Parish Hall. Snacks and water will be served.
St Francis helps to support the Military and their families with care packages, and prayer. Many of those who serve never receive packages from home, so these are truly special for them. Please look out in church for the list of items to donate. And thank you! Questions? Contact Susie Zimmerman.
