“I thank You God for this amazing…leaping greenly spirits… and the blue true dream of sky.”

I’ve thought of e.e.cummings’ poem during our early morning walks with the dogs as the birds serenade one another and buds pop out with color.

After a long winter of brown lawns and snow, what we might consider ordinary in summer startles us and reminds us: God brings new life from what seemed dead.

Our Lenten journey continues as we seek the divine in ordinary objects. This weekend, we consider how we have invested very ordinary objects – coins – with more value than they intrinsically possess. Between now and Sunday, think about the coins in your pockets or the bitcoins in your digital wallet.

A friendly reminder to make a reservation for worship and set you clocks to spring forward. See you in worship on Sunday.
