Here's what is happening in Church School this Sunday, November 10:
Preschool I & II
Preschool I & II students continue learning about the significance of water in the Bible through various stories over the next few weeks. Last Sunday they learned about Jesus's first miracle at the Wedding at Cana and turned water into "wine." This Sunday they learn about Jesus walking on water.
PreKindergarten and Kindergarten
PreKindergarten and Kindergarten students learn about Sanctus, a song we sing during the Eucharist. Ask your child to show you the motions that go with the song.
First, Second & Third Grades
First, second, and third grade students learn about the New Testament. This week they begin learning about the section of Matthew called the Beatitudes. What do the Beatitudes say about the kingdom of heaven?
Fourth & Fifth Grades
Fourth and fifth grade students continue their monthly outreach project. Last Sunday they made Thanksgiving goodie bags for the children at Gateway 180. This Sunday, fourth and fifth grade students and their parents are invited to deliver the bags and serve breakfast at the shelter from 7 to 8 am. Participants should meet at Gateway 180, 1000 19th Street, at 6:45 am. Fourth and fifth grade volunteers will serve breakfast at 7 am and help clean up afterwards. Casual attire is recommended. Please RSVP to
Mary Beth Tipton
Back at CSMSG following their visit to the shelter, fourth and fifth grade students learn about the story of Ruth and the importance of friendship.
