We have launched our Fox Cities Economic Outlook Survey, which covers area business trends from 2022 and projections for 2023. All Fox Cities businesses are invited to participate in the survey, which only takes a few minutes of your time. A survey report will be distributed at the 2023 Economic Outlook Lunch on February 7, which features the bow-tie economist Elliot Eisenberg. The survey will be open until January 20, 2023.

In the last budget, Evers and legislative Republicans agreed on $3.4 billion in reductions and Vos says he expects that to be the floor for discussions this time. Governor Evers announced he will propose a 10% middle class tax cut when he releases his budget in February.

Learn more about state reliable energy project

TC Energy is currently in the planning stages of a new project called The Wisconsin Reliability Project (WRP). The WRP will replace sections of natural gas pipelines and increase the power of compressor stations in Wisconsin and Illinois. The project, which is expected to begin construction in Spring 2024 and conclude in Fall 2025, will provide needed natural gas supply to improve reliability and meet rising demand of customers. In addition to improving reliability, the project is estimated to provide $1.1 billion in total economic impact and create or support more than 4,300 jobs. To find out more about the project or to ask any questions you may have, you can visit the WRP virtual open house here.
