Incorporate basic level kicks of Tae Kwon Do and the basic self-defense techniques of Shaolin Kempo Kung Fu. As classes progress, participants will focus on the basics of sparring with protective equipment. In a fun-filled environment, class is taught in a well-rounded system incorporating the teaching of true self-defense, inner strength and discipline. Uniforms are recommended, not required for beginners; they are required for rank advancement. Uniforms and additional materials are available from the instructor.

Speed and Agility Skills

Conditioning and drills will help to create a stable foundation to maintain balance throughout swing and improves core strength and mobility for increased club speed. Repetition and proper mechanics will be the focal point. Each session involves basic swing practice, understanding the importance of shot, club selection, golf etiquette and competition drills. Equipment provided; recommend bringing your own clubs and a water bottle.

Great Backyard Bird Count

The Great Backyard Bird Count is a free fun easy event that engages birdwatchers of all ages! Count the birds at the Hickory Knolls feeders along with members of Kane County Audubon. All GBBC results will be tallied and submitted to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology for entry into a national database.

Bring your snuggly stuffed animals and come dressed in your finest pj's! This indoor campfire will be filled with bedtime stories and sweet treats that even the pickiest 'Sam I Am' will enjoy. Our crazy critters are excited to get ready for bed with you! Adults are free.
