Due to COVID-19, the Foundation has had to cancel or modify many programs. In order to continue to generate financial support with which to enrich and enhance the opportunities and educational experiences of Lincoln-Way High School District 210 students, the Foundation needs your help now more than ever. “We provided more than $23,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in 2020 and with the support of the community, we hope to exceed that amount in 2021,” said Kennedy.

Great Backyard Bird Count Meeting #1 on Thu. Feb. 11 at 10am. Calling all bird lovers! Would you like to become a contributing citizen scientist, aka "community scientist" by participating in the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Great Backyard Bird Count? You’ll set up your free Cornell Lab account first, count birds for up to fifteen minutes per day over a period of 4 days (Feb. 12- Feb. 15), and share your birds through either Cornell’s Merlin Bird ID app, eBird Mobile app, or eBird website. Let the library help you learn how the project works during a Zoom meeting. We’ll meet a second time after the count to share our experiences.

Cooking With Chef Chris: Triple Chocolate Tart on Sun. Feb. 21 at 1pm. Join us on Zoom as Chef Chris Thielman makes a glorious Triple Chocolate Tart and answers your questions. This tart has a chocolate crust, ganache filling, and a chocolate glaze. This delicious recipe will be emailed to you after you register. Chef Chris has a 45-year history of working in the food industry. He recently retired from teaching Culinary and Pastry Arts at College of Dupage.
