Med Instead of Meds Class Series

April/May

The MED instead of MEDS class series will help you eat the Med Way every day. Six once-a-week informational classes will be held on Tuesdays, April 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, from 12-1 pm, at 103 S Bickett Blvd; in the Extension Center Annex.

Fee: $10.

Hibachi Cooking Class

Tuesday, April 25

On Tuesday, April 25, from 5:30-7:30 pm, a cooking class will be conducted at Louisburg Senior Center -Franklin Plaza, 279 S. Bickett Blvd. Class participants will experiment with cooking a Hibachi meal. Hibachi chicken with rice and vegetables will be one of the courses that we will make during the class.

Safe Plates for Food Handlers

Wednesday, April 26

Safe Plates for Food Handlers is a short training program that covers basic information on handling food safely. Free training will take place Wednesday, April 26, 9 am - 1 pm, at 103 S Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, in the Extension Center Annex.

Food Production Regulations Program

Thursday, April 27

NC State Extension is partnering with NC A&T to deliver the answers to your questions regarding who regulates our foods, while also highlighting food testing services provided to the industry by the NC State Department of Food, Bioprocessing, and Nutrition Sciences. A program will be conducted Thursday, April 27, at 4 pm, at 103 S Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, in the Extension Center Annex.
