Holiday Tree Lighting

Dean College's annual Holiday Lighting is scheduled for Thurs., Nov. 30 at sunset (approx. 4:23 p.m.) The public is invited to join the festivities. 

Exciting Collaboration

Dean College, Franklin Public Schools and the Franklin Public Library present "Diary of a Dreamer" by Fatima Wojohat, an artistic experience featuring a collaboration of artists in poetry, music, dance and visual art. It will be held on Dec. 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Franklin Public Library.

Franklin Historical Museum

There are great gift ideas at the Franklin Historical Museum Gift Shop for anyone who loves Franklin. Tree ornaments, tea towels and pillows, coffee mugs, candles, ladybug bracelets, banks, scarves, etc. The Museum is open Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

NETA

NETA, 162 Grove St., Franklin, is celebrating its two year anniversary on Fri., Dec. 1 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sat., Dec. 2 from noon to 4 p.m. The event will feature vendors, raffles, and giveaways.

Activities at St. John's

On Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant St. in Franklin is hosting a Christmas Fair featuring: Gift Baskets • Silent Auction • Handcrafted items • Raffle • Cookie Walk • Wreaths and Greenery • Snack Bar • and more.


Attend St John’s Episcopal Church on the eve of Christmas, Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. for carols, candles and communion at 237 Pleasant St., Franklin.

Garden Club Greenery

The Franklin Garden Club will sell decorated holiday wreaths, swags and cemetery boxes on Sat., Dec. 2 from 9:30 a.m. – noon at Daddario’s Hardware Store, 528 West Central St., Franklin. In addition, holiday fresh floral arrangements will be sold on Facebook and Instagram beginning Dec. 16. Prices range from $20 - $40.

RSM Tree Decorating Workshop

Parents and students in grades K-6 are invited to decorate the RSM-Franklin holiday tree with math, art, and creativity! We will teach students a small lesson on 3D geometry shapes which we will use to make the ornaments for the tree. For older students who are interested in more challenges, there will be a geometry-based competition to win prizes! All students who participate will get a surprise gift from Santa. The Holiday Tree Decoration & Geometry Workshop will be held Sun., Dec. 10 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 9 Summer St., Unit #103, Franklin.
