The church office hours this week will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed on Wednesday.

January Calendar of Church Activities

  • 22: Young Adult Bible Study at The Factory at 7 p.m. Last session is January 29.
  • 29: Pastor Dave Kyle preaches at both services. We will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his first sermon with cake and a reception in the gym area of The Factory in between first and second service. All are invited.
  • 31: Pack night for Eagle Packs. Meet at 6 p.m. in The Factory gym. NOTE: This is a change from February 2.
  • 5: Bible 101 Study begins at The Factory, Youth Room. Open to all. Runs through Feb. 26.
  • 1:  Ash Wednesday. The church will be open at 7 a.m. in the morning for those who wish to receive ashes before they start their day. Evening service is at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
  • 18: Our next Tenderloin Dinner will be Saturday, March 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Factory.

New Study Bible 101 Starts Feb. 5
Join Pastor Nathan for Bible 101, a new study beginning on February 5 at 6 p.m. This class will provide learning tools to help study the bible in-depth.

The class is open to everyone. We'll meet in the youth room of The Factory. It will run through February 26.

"Be Hope" Learning Day Feb. 18 in Kokomo 
 Being HOPE in our individual and collective ministry settings requires our faith to be embraced, lived and realized each and every day. With that in mind, the leadership of the Indiana United Methodist North Central District is pleased to announce the  to be held on February 18, 2017. 

Not only will workshops be offered for those serving on committees and in leadership positions in their local congregations, we are also offering workshops focusing on Youth Ministry and conflict resolution. We are excited about these opportunities and HOPE that they will be beneficial in your ministry setting. ALL ARE INVITED - laity and clergy! Come and learn more about being HOPE in your church, community and the world. See you on the 18th!

Religious Scholarship Program Available  
The Church Mutual Insurance Company Foundation sponsors a CM CARES Religious Scholars Program.  The program is offering 50 scholarships of $5,000 each for a total of $250,000 for the 2017-18 academic year. The scholarship is for students committed to entering the practice of full-time ministry in the United States  who are in an advanced degree (post-secondary) religious studies program at an accredited theological seminary, college or university during the 2017-18 academic year. Students serving in their final year of an internship program are also eligible to apply. Students across all denominations are encouraged to apply.

Applications will be accepted from January 3 until April 15, 2017. The 50 scholarship recipients will be announced in May 2017. Click here>> for more information on this scholarship.

Online Giving Now Available at FFUMC 
 You now have options when it comes to tithing at Frankton First United Methodist Church.   You may give by placing an offering in the offering plate on Sunday mornings, with a credit or debit 
card online or on your mobile device, or through electronic funds transfer (EFT) right from your checking or savings account. 

The frequency of your giving is up to you. 
  Recurring gifts may be scheduled online weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, or you may also give one-time gifts online, as well. Check-out the specifics below for online and electronic funds transfer.

Don't Forget Donations to the Frankton Food Pantry
Current needs for the food pantry are: canned vegetables (other than corn or green beans), soups, canned fruit and personal hygiene items. Bins are located at the church and The Factory. Donations of eggs or butter also are welcome. Those would go directly to the pantry. Contact the Frankton Christian Church, 754-8660, to make arrangements to take perishable items there.

The food pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesdays. It is located at the Frankton Christian Church's Family Life Center.  Thanks for your  extravagant generosity !

Collecting Donations for the Eagle Packs 
The next pack date for the Eagle Packs project is January 31 at 6 p.m. in The Factory gym. We also are collecting donations for the project. There are tubs at church and The Factory where you can bring the following items for donations: 18oz. peanut butter; canned chicken noodle soup, boxes of mac & cheese. Please do not bring any other items. Thank you.
