Willow harvesting for the
Fraser Flats Project
On May 6, nearly 50 community members came together to complete the first phase of the Fraser Flats Project! Headed by CHLT's Programs Manager, Anna Drexler-Dreis, 4,611 willows were harvested. On May 20 and 21 these willows will be planted on the Fraser River to offer shade, improving river habitat.
This project is made possible by help from Learning by Doing - an awesome example of collaboration and community involvement!
