Important Reminders for Fraternal Leaders

District Deputy

Grand Knight

  • Craft an effective communication plan to engage all council members. Form a committee to verify contact information and then update Member Management.
  • Work with your district deputy to schedule the installation of council officers. Invite families and hold a social after the ceremony.
  • Make sure all new members are processed by June 30.

Financial Secretary

  • Timely processing of member additions and changes is critical as we approach the end of the fraternal year. If your council is on track to earn Star Council, all form 100s need to be processed by June 30. The quickest and easiest way to process form 100s is via the Candidate Tab on Officers Online.
  • If your council bills on a fraternal year, begin the membership billing process.

Fourth Degree

A Warrior for Christ: The Life of Joe Reali

Knights of Columbus is proud to release a new short documentary (30 min) on the life of Joe Reali, a dynamic young man whose passion was evident both on the football field and in how he lived his Catholic faith. Following his sudden and tragic death in 2015, thousands turned out for his wake and funeral, where they shared stories about Joe’s sacrificial love for others and his care for the downtrodden. Today, the legacy of this devout and fun-loving young man lives on through the Joseph Mario Reali Knights of Columbus Council 16261 in Woodbury, Long Island.

The film will be released on July 4 and can be viewed atkofc.org/reali. Please help promote this inspiring film throughout your jurisdiction by sharing it with your council leaders, on your social media platforms, and with your friends and families.
