District Deputy

• Schedule your district midyear meeting. This should be held as soon as possible after your jurisdiction midyear meeting. Our recommended agenda will ensure your meeting is effective and efficient. 
• Every council must submit the Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity (#1728) by January 31. This short training video explains the simple process of online submission. Please share this information with your councils and follow up to ensure your district has 100% compliance.

Grand Knight

• Make plans to attend your district midyear meeting and ensure that all of your key council officers are able to attend.
• The Founders’ Award and Star Council Award require councils to promote and participate in two fraternal benefit seminars. In order to ensure your council is properly credited, it is essential that you complete the Fraternal Benefits Event Council Report (#11077) and submit it in a timely manner after the seminar.
• Familiarize yourself with the Faith in Action programs form reference guide and share it with your programs team.

Financial Secretary

• Every council must submit the Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity (#1728) by January 31, 2025. Form #1728 can be completed digitally by grand knights and financial secretaries. This short training video explains the simple process of online submission.

NEW Special Training for Financial Secretaries: Producing Council Dues Assessments & Membership Cards - Now On Demand!

The Member Billing section of Officers Online provides an easy and cost-effective way for councils to process dues assessments. Using this tool can save your council time and money.

This on demand training is intended to guide Financial Secretaries through the member dues assessment process. This step-by-step walkthrough will answer all questions related to council assessments, producing statements, collecting dues, and printing membership cards.

Volunteer with Supreme at the National March for Life 

Supreme is seeking volunteers for the March for Life on Friday, January 24, 2024 from 9am to noon. Volunteers will distribute free K of C signs and hats on the National Mall. Any amount of time you can volunteer is welcome! Volunteers will receive free K of C apparel, sign up here.

Novena for Life

The USCCB’s 9 Days for Life novena is January 16-24. This annual novena is a great opportunity for Knights to remain firmly committed to defending the right to life of every human being and coincides with the National March for Life. Consider planning a Novena for Life in your council, resources can be found at kofc.org/novenaforlife.  

Ultrasound Initiative

We are 83 ultrasounds away from reaching our goal of 2,000 ultrasound machines donated! Be sure to reach out to your local pregnancy center you may have supported through the ASAP program or by using the map found at kofc.org/asap to see if a center is in need of a new ultrasound machine. Knights can also contact past recipients and ask if they need newer models (machines typically need an upgrade after 5-7 years). Is your Diocese or Parish planning to attend the National March for Life in Washington, DC? Let them know that all are invited to join the Knights of Columbus, the Sisters of Life, and the Diocese of Arlington at EagleBank Arena on Jan. 23 and 24 for Life Fest. • Cor Quarterly Survey - It's the end of another quarter. If your council is running Cor, we would like to hear how it's going. Please take a few minutes to submit a Cor Quarterly Survey to share your council's progress building Christ centered brotherhood through Cor. You can find the survey on the Cor webpage, or by clicking here.
• Cor Testimonies - Also, if you have encouraging stories of the impact Cor is having on the lives of the men attending, please share those with us so we can highlight the work God is doing through your council. Testimonies are a powerful way for us to share the mission and impact Knights are having across the Order. You can find the link to Cor Testimonies on the Cor webpage, or by clicking here.
• Cor Webinar - How to Start Cor - If you were unable to join us for our most recent webinar on how to start Cor for your council. In this webinar we review the foundations of a successful start to Cor, suggestions on a consistent structure, and how to build your team. You can watch it on demand by clicking here.
• EFF Director Submission - Worthy Grans Knights, if your council is running Cor please tell us who is leading by submitting the Council EFF Director Submission Form. The information you provide via this form allows us to send key information resources, and support to your Evangelization and Faith Formation (EFF) Director. Additionally, we will provide your EFF Director with free access to Formed by the Augustine Institute which provides world class formation content to be used in Cor. As New Year Resolutions are on the mind of many, now is a great time to reach out to the men in your parish and invite them to start the new year right by joining your council. Utilize the resources in the Fishers of Men Guidebook and be available in the back of the Church following Mass to hand out Online Join Cards and talk with any interested candidates. Remember, Knights of Columbus is dedicated to forming men and their families in the Catholic faith. Standing shoulder to shoulder with 2.1 million brother Knights around the world, we make a difference. What better way to begin the New Year, than by joining our mission?

You’re invited to a celebration commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Fourth Degree. Join us Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City as we hold a Fourth Degree Exemplification of Patriotism; dedicate a new statue of Blessed Michael McGivney; and attend Mass concelebrated by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, archbishop of New York, and Archbishop William Lori, our Worthy Supreme Chaplain and archbishop of Baltimore. Following the events at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, you’re invited to a celebration banquet at the New York Hilton Midtown.

On this milestone day, we will conduct, for the first time, the revised U.S. Fourth Degree Exemplification of Patriotism. This is an exciting opportunity for Fourth Degree members to witness the updated ceremony and for current Third Degree members to take the Exemplification of Patriotism. Please extend this invitation to Fourth and Third degree members in your council and help us make this celebration one to remember!
