February Council Audit No Longer Required

Based on the changes noted below, councils are now required to submit only one annual audit due August 15:

Resolution 402 was passed by the delegates of the 2025 Supreme Council Meeting in Washington, DC which changed Section 145 of the Charter Constitution and Laws, to require the Board of Trustees to “audit the accounts of the Financial Secretary and Treasurer and report thereon annually to their council, according to rules set by the Board of Directors.”

Subsequently, the Board of Directors voted that these audits are to be based on the period from July 1 to June 30, with the Annual Audit Report due to the Supreme Council on August 15. This change takes effect for the 2025-2026 fraternal year, meaning that no council audit is required for February 2026 and the next council audit is due August 15, 2026.

Additional information and resources related to the revised online Annual Audit Report will be released via all fraternal channels in January. We are pleased that this change will save our fraternal leaders countless man-hours.

Order Vivat Jesus Today!

The Vivat Jesus Spiritual Planner for 2026 is now available! Designed to help men develop and maintain a daily prayer routine, your council is encouraged to buy copies in bulk via Supplies Online (20 books for $100). Individual copies are available at shopcatholicinfo.com for $7.99 each.

This year’s edition is updated with a special emphasis on giving men a space to plan their prayer routine. Additionally, the book is now in a larger format. Many men have reported to us how transformative Vivat Jesus has been in their faith life. Please consider ordering this year’s edition in bulk so we can help supercharge the prayer lives of as many men as possible!

Go for Two Incentive is Almost Over!

With less than a month left in the member recruitment incentive we want to share a message from six-time Pro Bowler, Super Bowl champion and Knight of Columbus Matt Birk:

As a reminder, Knights who recruit two men between Sept. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, will be entered into a drawing to receive a cash prize of $1,500!* Ten second-place winners will receive a customized, K of C-branded football. Knights who recruit four men in that time frame will be entered into the drawing twice. Details can be found here.

We also encourage you to share this video on your social media platforms, to help create buzz around joining the Knights!

* For insurance jurisdictions only. Cash prize is in USD. Other restrictions apply.

Follow Up When Using Membership Enrollment Cards

Since their release this fall, Membership Enrollment cards have aided council recruiting efforts, especially Church Drives. It’s important that when your council uses Membership Enrollment cards that you have a plan to follow up with each man who completes one.

  • First, reread through the Membership Outreach Steps to review the process for membership drive success with the new Membership Enrollment Card!
  • When entering the information from the Membership Enrollment Card into the online join application, be mindful of what time you do that as that’s when a confirmation email will be sent to the prospect. For example, if you’re entering the information late at night, the prospect might not see the email until the next day. If you can enter the information in the morning or early afternoon, that’s usually best.
  • Within 48 hours of entering the information from the Membership Enrollment Card on kofc.org/join, call the prospective member to ensure he’s received and clicked on his Confirmation Code. Additionally, remind him of any upcoming council events and the date of the Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
  • When you call to follow up with a prospect, you can also ask if he has any questions about membership in the Knights of Columbus or about life in your council. He may have second thoughts and that’s why he hasn’t confirmed his membership. Use this as an opportunity to reassure him in his decision to become a Knight!
  • A member who joins with a Membership Enrollment Card is no different than any other member who has joined your council. Be sure to welcome him the same way you would any other member of your council.

As a reminder, Membership Enrollment Cards and Material can be found on Supplies Online under Membership & Recruitment >> Membership Enrollment Cards.

Prepare the Way

Our Advent reflection video series is underway. New videos are posted on each Friday of Advent to prepare for the coming Sunday. Visit and share this link to prepare the way for the Lord this Christmas.

Father McGivney's Legacy of Care

When Brad Wolf, a past grand knight of Ketteler Council 1824 in Windthorst, Texas, passed away suddenly in 2023, his decision to obtain a Knights of Columbus insurance policy became a lifeline for his family — allowing his wife, Dena, and their daughter, Riley, to remain in their home, free from the fear of financial hardship. “That’s what the Knights of Columbus is all about,” said Michael Bryant, Wolf’s insurance agent. “We’re there to assist that person that is left behind, to make sure that they're cared for, for the rest of their life.”

In their story, the vision of Blessed Michael McGivney comes alive once more: that no widow or orphan should be left without protection, and that love and faith can endure even in the face of loss. Consider sharing this story with the members in your councils and help them protect their families from the financial hardship that could unfold in the case of a tragedy.
