This year’s edition is updated with a special emphasis on giving men a space to plan their prayer routine. Additionally, the book is now in a larger format. This year, councils and members have been challenged to answer Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly’s call to “Go for Two” and invite two men to join the Knights of Columbus.

To recognize brother Knights who "go for two", members who recruit two men between September 1 and December 31, 2025, will be entered into a drawing to receive a cash prize of $1,500!* Ten second-place winners will receive a customized, K of C-branded football. Details can be found here.

Through this incentive we have seen an incredible impact already:

• The number of men recruiting new members is significantly higher than this time last year.
• Member enrollment card adaptation is soaring.

Life Fest is open to attendees of all ages. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and Sisters of Life, the event is at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill, Maryland, on Jan. 23, 2026. Doors open at 6 a.m., and the program begins at 6:30 a.m. You’ll have the opportunity to attend Mass, go to confession, hear dynamic speakers and musicians, venerate first-class relics (including our Founder, Blessed Michael McGivney) and more before it’s time to march in the streets of Washington, D.C.

It’s the perfect way to prayerfully prepare for the March for Life with your family, council or parish.

Each year, as part of the Order’s Novena for Life program, the Knights of Columbus promotes the United States Catholic of Conference Bishops’ (USCCB) 9 Days for Life novena for the protection of human life. Each day’s intention is accompanied by a short reflection and suggested actions to help build a culture of life. Resources for councils and parishes to promote the novena including printables, graphics, sample announcements, and more can be found on the USCCB’s RespectLife.org website. Councils participating in this novena with their parish can claim credit toward the Columbian Award.

Since their release this fall, Membership Enrollment cards have aided council recruiting efforts, especially Church Drives. It’s important that when your council uses Membership Enrollment cards that you have a plan to follow up with each man who completes one.

• First, reread through the Membership Outreach Steps to review the process for membership drive success with the new Membership Enrollment Card!
• When entering the information from the Membership Enrollment Card into the online join application, be mindful of what time you do that as that’s when a confirmation email will be sent to the prospect. For example, if you’re entering the information late at night, the prospect might not see the email until the next day. If you can enter the information in the morning or early afternoon, that’s usually best.
• Within 48 hours of entering the information from the Membership Enrollment Card on kofc.org/join, call the prospective member to ensure he’s received and clicked on his Confirmation Code. Additionally, remind him of any upcoming council events and the date of the Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
• When you call to follow up with a prospect, you can also ask if he has any questions about membership in the Knights of Columbus or about life in your council. He may have second thoughts and that’s why he hasn’t confirmed his membership. Use this as an opportunity to reassure him in his decision to become a Knight!
• A member who joins with a Membership Enrollment Card is no different than any other member who has joined your council. Be sure to welcome him the same way you would any other member of your council.

Our helpful list of Suggested Training by Officer Role highlights the training sessions that are recommended for your officer position. Training is reviewed on a continuing basis, so you will always get the most up-to-date information. Best of all, these on-demand sessions are available to view at any time, on your own schedule, and the average length of each session is only 30 minutes!

District Deputy

• Schedule your district midyear meeting. This should be held as soon as possible after your jurisdiction midyear meeting. Our recommended agenda will ensure your meeting is effective and efficient.
• Every council must submit the Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity (#1728) by January 31. This short training video explains the simple process of online submission. Please share this information with your councils and follow up to ensure your district has 100% compliance.
• Midyear meetings serve as a great reset point in the fraternal year. Please help by spearheading the collection of essential Cor council data, specifically:
• Council EFF Director Submission Form
• Cor Quarterly Report Form  

Grand Knight

• Make plans to attend your district midyear meeting and ensure that all of your key council officers are able to attend.
• The Founders' Award and Star Council Award require councils to promote and participate in two fraternal benefit seminars. In order to ensure your council is properly credited, it is essential that you complete the Fraternal Benefits Event Council Report (#11077) and submit it in a timely manner after the seminar.
• Familiarize yourself with the Faith in Action programs form reference guide and share it with your programs team.
• Please ensure that Council EFF Directors are given dedicated time at council meetings and an appropriate budget allocation.
• Advent is here! Consider using the Advent suggestions available in Cor Central, including weekly Advent Video Reflections by Dr. Jonathan Reyes.
• Thank you to all Grand Knights who have submitted the Council EFF Director Submission Form this fraternal year. If you haven't completed this form, please do so as soon as possible so we can include your Council EFF Director in all Cor communications.
• Once submitted, Council EFF Directors will receive a weekly series of 6-8 Cor onboarding emails filled with practical tips and planning tools.

Financial Secretary

• The Member Billing section of Officers Online provides an easy and cost-effective way for councils to process dues assessments. Your council can save time and money by using this tool. Learn more by watching our short tutorials.
• Send the Individual Member Worksheet (#1728A) to council members for reporting their volunteer hours and charitable donations made during the year on behalf of your council. This information is necessary for completion of the Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity (#1728) due January 31.

Fourth Degree

• The Fourth Degree will host the next training session in January.
• District Master and Assembly quarterly training will be on January 12, 2026 at 8:00 PM EST: "Programs that activate and motivate your assembly members, and grow your assembly (membership and retention)."
• We will invite the Vice Supreme Masters, District Masters, Faithful Navigators, and ALL Assembly Officers to this meeting.

Hockey Challenge

As the weather gets colder, it’s the perfect time to plan a Hockey Challenge in your community. The price of 14-packs of plaques for champions is only $50! Those, and many other KofC-branded items, including hockey medals, balls, and pucks can be purchased on Supplies Online. Together, these videos invite Knights to go deeper in their mission of charity—bringing hope, dignity, and faith to the poor in their communities.
