REMINDER: MONTHLY COUNCIL SPOTLIGHT
Each month, as part of our FLA Live! Fraternal Webinar Series, we feature a council that is doing great things in the areas of membership growth, programs, evangelization, or faith formation. In order to keep this feature going we need to hear from you!
If you know of a council doing great things in their parish or community (including your own) please email us at fraternaltraining@kofc.org and let us know so we can put the spotlight on our outstanding councils. Not only is this a chance to be featured, but an opportunity to give other councils ideas and tips for success.
| | February Council Audit No Longer Required | | |
Based on the changes noted below, councils are now required to submit only one annual audit due August 15.
Resolution 402 was passed by the delegates of the 2025 Supreme Council Meeting in Washington, DC which changed Section 145 of the Charter Constitution and Laws, to require the Board of Trustees to “audit the accounts of the Financial Secretary and Treasurer and report thereon annually to their council, according to rules set by the Board of Directors.”
Subsequently, the Board of Directors voted that these audits are to be based on the period from July 1 to June 30, with the Annual Audit Report due to the Supreme Council on August 15. This change takes effect for the 2025-2026 fraternal year, meaning that no council audit is required for February 2026 and the next council audit is due August 15, 2026.
Additional information and resources related to the revised online Annual Audit Report will be released via all fraternal channels soon. We are pleased that this change will save our fraternal leaders countless man-hours.

Gospel of Life
The new Gospel of Life program offers councils a meaningful way to educate members and parish communities on the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. Councils can study the Church’s teachings by using the Evangelium Vitae Study Guide (#614), share informational resources, and organize events featuring pro-life speakers. For more Gospel of Life resources, visit kofc.org/life. Participation in the Gospel of Life program earns councils 2 program credits toward the Columbian Award.
