Cailin Sullivan, of St. Joseph's Catholic School, decided she wanted to do something a little different for Christmas this year. Instead of asking for presents, she asked for money so that she could buy some gifts for the girls in Mrs. Hannah Johnson's class. We are very fortunate to have people like Cailin loving on our Frazee kiddos!
Frazee Basketball - NEED COACHES!
It's getting close to that time of year again when we break out the jerseys, whistles, megaphone, and maybe even a fog machine, and play some Frazee basketball!! We always need volunteer coaches! Our 1st and 2nd grade girls team will start on
February 13th and continue on
Monday nights through March 27th. Our 3rd-5th grade girls will begin on
February 15th and will continue on
Wednesday nights until March 29th. Our boys will begin the week after spring break on
April 17th and
19th! If you would like to share your coaching skills with us, please let us know!
When Should I Volunteer?
At the Frazee Center, we currently serve around 130 students every day. We
rely heavily on volunteers to support our kids by playing with them, assisting with homework and reading, and simply loving on them. You might be wondering, "When is the best time for me to volunteer?"
3:00-3:45 is our primary reading time; if you would like to spend some time helping kids read then this is your block!
3:30-4:30 is an activity hour; at some point, every class is up moving around in some way, whether it's playing games or exercising; if you would to participate in these activities, come by during this time!
4:30-5:30 is a period in which some class is always doing homework; if you would like to help tutor kids in their schoolwork, this is the time for you!
