On behalf of the Derby Day Co-Chairs, Lauren & Parker Lavin and Susan & Patrick Dunn, I invite you to join us for the 22nd Annual Derby Day, scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024. We extend our gratitude to Frederica Golf Club and Beachview Event Rentals & Design, for serving as our Presenting Sponsors again this year. We look forward to celebrating in Frederica Golf Club's new Skye Terrace behind the clubhouse.

For those unfamiliar with this event, Derby Day is Frederica Academy's signature fundraiser and celebrates the running of the Kentucky Derby each May. Our evening includes a raffle, race simulcast, betting booth, online silent auction, live auction, and post-race band party.

Derby Day support this year will be more important than ever before. We are in the “home stretch” of the school’s Gateway Capital Campaign having reached 93% of our fundraising goal. We are determined to reach the campaign's $10 million goal this spring so that we can begin construction on the final projects during the summer break in advance of the new school year this fall; we are actively seeking donor gifts to help make this happen. To augment this effort, we will use part of the Derby Day proceeds to help us cross the Gateway Campaign "finish line."

To secure a spot at Derby Day, interested patrons are encouraged to enroll for sponsorships now, while they are still available. Individual tickets will not be available for sale this year, so those interested should consider a sponsorship. Sponsorship demand in recent years has precluded our ability to offer individual tickets.

We are partnering with GiveSmart again this year to host our online silent auction, sponsorship enrollment, merchandise sales, and raffle ticket purchases. Please see below for instructions on how to access the site. Details regarding sponsorship levels and merchandise items can be found on the online site.

2. Visit https://FADerby.givesmart.com

If you registered for Derby Day last year, you may be automatically logged in once you access the site. Click on the "Home" tab, and you will be off to the races! If you forgot your log-in credentials, you can click "forgot password." We encourage all patrons to "allow" text messages when enrolling because this will allow us to keep you updated as May 4 draws nearer.

Please note that when you receive a link via text or email from GiveSmart, it is a link that is personalized for you. Do not forward this link to friends because it will be tied to your personal account and your corresponding payment information.

Derby Day merchandise is now available. The intention is to order Comfort Colors t-shirts, but availability at the time or our order will ultimately determine the actual brand and exact colors. Please be patient with us as we do our best in working through supply chain issues.

The deadline to order merchandise is Wednesday, March 27. Purchased items will be delivered to students the week after Spring Break, and students and faculty will be able to wear Derby Day t-shirts on designated days that will be assigned as the event draws nearer.
