“There is immense power when a group of people with similar interests gets together to work towards the same goals.”

Living a Life of Success at the Edge of Your Ability
Dear FA Families and Supporters,
With the students gone now nearly a month and with various summer camps and construction projects together completely overrunning campus, I have found sanctuary in my office this morning to revisit in my mind the 2021-2022 school year that has just recently passed. In so many ways, at so many levels, this has been an amazing year, highlighted most importantly by the development and maturation of each and every student and the creation of an inspiring environment that makes that development possible.
When I actually reflect on the number and kinds of people that it took working together to construct and sustain a complex, multi-faceted learning environment that both consistently challenged and supported our students, I am humbled. It is not merely the teachers and the staff who set the standard every day for the pursuit of excellence, although they certainly played a lead role in FA’s emerging culture. It is also the parents, the students themselves, and an assortment of other friends and extended family members who all embraced and leaned into the school’s mission; and it is only through this coordinated confederation of loyal community members that we succeeded as a school.
Helping our children, Pre-K through 12th Grade, uncover their best selves through hard work, thoughtful instruction, and joyous interactions is a high-minded mission worth all of our best efforts. Thank you, at year’s end, for all that you have done to make the Frederica Academy community stronger.
Thursday, June 30, is the official end of the 2021-2022 fiscal year for Frederica Academy; therefore, I especially want to use this message as an opportunity to thank everyone who supported the school through their donor support. This year, we raised more than $7.6 million in operational and capital donations, which is an overwhelmingly unprecedented amount for Frederica Academy. This total reflects extraordinary philanthropy related to the Annual Fund, Apogee, Derby Day, Booster Club, and restricted giving ... most notably the Gateway Capital Campaign.
If you are still interested in supporting the 2021-2022 Annual Fund, it is not too late ... however, the deadline is this Thursday. Click here to make an online gift today. No gift is too small and every gift is needed and much appreciated. A complete list of 2021-2022 Annual Fund donors may be viewed here if you are not sure if you have given this year.
The end of the school year also brings a change in those serving in volunteer leadership roles. Service to the school, especially via the parent-affiliated efforts, played a vital role time and again in enhancing the school-related experiences of our students.
