Managing Up for Volunteer Managers
Thursday, September 24th 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Whether or not you are officially the boss of anyone or even if you have the word “manager” in the title, chances are that as the leader of volunteers, you are managing people, projects or both! We will consider your roles as a leader to your volunteers as well as the other leaders in your organization. We will talk about determining what volunteers really want and what your boss really wants… and how to adjust your work practices whether managing up or down. This webinar was presented at the National Points of Light Conference in June 2020.
Volunteer Management Roundtable
Topic: How Volunteer Managers Can Play a Role to Battle Racism
Thursday, October 8th 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Do you lead, coordinate or manage volunteers for your organization? Susan Sanow and Jerome Tenille, CVA will lead this continuing discussion on the role Volunteer Managers can play to recognize and battle racism. All are welcome! We will also leave time for discussion, problem-solving and networking.
Empowering Volunteers to Lead
Thursday, October 15th 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Can your volunteers take it to the next level and become your best volunteer leader? Let’s discuss how you can to recruit, target, engage, coach and transform volunteers to become all that you need them to be. We will talk about identifying volunteers and potential leaders, becoming more coach than supervisor, and discovering the recognition hot buttons for your shining volunteer stars.
