Register for the

10th annual Poetry Café!

Join us to celebrate 10 years of the Poetry Café!

Do not miss this opportunity to experience community, literary art, and connection

on April 23, 2025 from 2 pm- 3 pm (EST)!

The Poetry Café features original works submitted and read by members of the AHP community, including virtual class attendees, MGUH patients and staff, and other supporters of the AHP. This event has brought together a community of writers to celebrate the joy of poetry for 10 years. This year our theme is "Hope Through Community".

The Poetry Café will take place in MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Chapel (3800 Reservoir Road NW, Washington, DC, 20007). A virtual option is also available for our global community to participate in this momentous occasion.

Hosted by the Georgetown Lombardi Arts and Humanities Program

and the Department of Mission and Pastoral Care.

Register for the Poetry Café!

The Georgetown Lombardi Arts & Humanities Program (AHP) promotes a holistic approach to healthcare for patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, staff members, and students through the use of music, dance, expressive writing, and visual arts. These therapeutic modalities are normally provided throughout the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and online through Eventbrite courses. The AHP is a program of the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
