Election Update
Approximately 30% of San Mateo County’s registered voters have already voted in the November Presidential Election! This is well above the statewide number of approximately 23%! With less than two weeks until Election Day, here are a few resources for you:
Did you miss the Voter Registration deadline of October 19? No worries. You can still register and vote in the November Presidential Election. You’ll need to go to a San Mateo County Voting Center for assistance. There are three Voting Centers currently open. Starting October 31, there will be a total of 45 Voting Centers for you to choose from. To find the most convenient location, go to www.smcvote.org.
Did you drop your ballot off in the mail or at one of the County’s official ballot drop boxes? Make sure you are tracking your ballot with BallotTrax. This service will alert you to when your ballot is received and counted by the Elections Office. It will also alert you if there is an issue such as you forgot to sign the envelope or your signature doesn’t match. If you failed to sign the envelope or your signature doesn’t match, you can contact the Elections Office at 650-312-5222 to cure this problem and ensure that your vote counts.
Did you not receive your vote-by-mail ballot in the mail? Contact the Elections Office at 650-312-5222, and they can check your mailing address and send you a new ballot.
Are you looking for a list of the County’s official ballot drop boxes locations? There are three 24/7 official ballot drop boxes in Burlingame:
- Burlingame City Hall – 501 Primrose Road (on the Primrose side)
- Parks and Recreation Portable – 1010 Burlingame Avenue
- Burlingame School District Office – 1825 Trousdale Drive
For a complete list of all the locations in the County, go to www.smcvote.org.
Need an “I Voted” sticker? Reach out to our City Clerk Meaghan Hassel-Shearer. She is happy to send you some stickers so that you can show the community you voted from an appropriate social distance.
If you have any questions about voting, please contact City Clerk Meaghan Hassel-Shearer at mhasselshearer@burlingame.org or at 650-558-7203
