The annual Talk to Us interview series hosted by John Ferris and Barry Vitcov is back! Christopher Briscoe is a renowned photojournalist and author whose compelling work captures powerful human stories across cultures and continents, including those from women in Ukraine. Click here to register.

Solving Problems with Gamification and Playfulness

Dr. Tom Sakai, a visiting research fellow from the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo, is offering a free talk to community members on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 12:30-1:20 p.m. in Room 319 of the SOU Stevenson Union.

Dr. Sakai specializes in using gamification and play to support learning and motivation. His work focuses on the development and application of educational games to enhance engagement and promote skill-building.

Help an SOU Student & Participate in a Survey

Support SOU criminology student Sophia Stefani with her research by filling out a survey about elder abuse comprehension and prevention. Click here to complete the Elder Abuse Survey. Sophia will be at the Campbell Center with hard copies of the survey on Wednesday, Oct. 15, noon-1 p.m. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, Nov. 21.
