Free Dress Pass

This Pass allows Kindergarten through 7th grade students to wear free dress on the second and fourth Friday of each month. This pass can also be used for any other dress down days throughout the year. (Students must meet the modesty guidelines below)

*Students with a Free Dress Pass can wear free dress starting this Friday, August 30th.
*Students can continue to wear spirit wear each Friday, with or without a Free Dress Pass.

8th-12th grade 2019-2020
Free Dress Pass

This Pass allows 8th through 12th grade students to wear free dress every Friday of the month. This pass can also be used for any other dress down days throughout the year. (Students must meet the modesty guidelines below)

Free Dress Passes are eligible for matching if your employer offers an employee matching program.

*In the event school is closed on a Free Dress Friday, due to a holiday or inclement weather, MIDCCS will not move the Free Dress Friday to an alternate date.
Free Dress Modesty Guidelines

  • Clothing must be size-appropriate and may not be oversized or undersized in part or whole.
  • Graphics and wording on clothing must be appropriate for school setting and inline with MIDCCS's values. (No profanity, no offensive verbiage or images, no violence, etc)
  • No hats, caps, head coverings, bandanas, or hoods are to be worn inside any building on campus.
  • Shirts must completely cover torso during normal daily activity. No undergarments may be visible at any time.
  • Midriff tops, tank tops, and spaghetti straps are not permitted. Sleeveless tops should have at least three finger-width straps.
  • Students must wear size-appropriate shirts/blouses with necklines exposing no cleavage.
  • Pants and shorts must be worn at normal waist height (no low-rise or sagging pants allowed).
  • Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be size appropriate and measure longer than middle of finger length with shoulders relaxed and arms and hands fully extended.
  • Clothing that is frayed, torn, or slit must not show skin and must be appropriate mid finger length if shorts or skirt. (Any tears, holes, slits, etc. must have patch behind it with no skin showing through)
  • Leggings are permitted on Free Dress Fridays only but students must wear long shirts covering backside. If shirt does not cover backside students must wear skirt or shorts over leggings.
  • Flip-flops, rubber sports sandals/slides, Crocs, or bedroom shoes are not permitted.

*Students who violate the Free Dress Pass modesty guidelines will receive a call home and parents are expected to bring a change that meets normal uniform/dress code for that day.
