State of the Borough Address
On Sunday, February 24 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm, Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer will deliver the annual State of the Borough address, which will focus on present-day urban policy.  The event will take place at  Skirball Center at NYU, 566 Laguardia Place (south of Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village) and will also be live-streamed on BP Brewer's  Facebook page . Business Organics Rules
Certain New York City businesses are required by law to separate their organic waste such as food scraps, food-soiled paper, and compostable serviceware. Enforcement of the new organics rules went into effect on February 15, 2019. If your business meets the minimum requirements outlined here, you must comply with the business organics rules.
