Smiles @ Christmas

Offers a holiday party with carols, a party jumper, face painting, cotton candy and free Christmas gifts for children under 8. The kids play while their parents pick out gifts. Register online starting Nov. 29, 2021. Event scheduled for Saturday Dec. 4, 2021.

Salvation Army - Social Services Department - Kent

Toy For Tots - Christmas Assistance

Provides toys for low-income families with children under the age of 15 in Kent and Auburn area. Documents required: verification of household income –proof of address – photo ID for adults – birth certificate or DSHS services cards for children. Call to register Tues. and Thurs. 10:30am-3:30pm, Oct. 5-Nov 16, 2021, or walk in to register on December 6, 7, 8, 2021, 1100am-3:00pm. or until capacity is met.

Kent Food Bank and Emergency Services

Christmas Gifts

Provides holiday gifts for residents of the Kent School District; gifts are available for children ages 12 and younger. Must register - After registration is approved families will be assigned a half hour window to arrive to pick up toys.  Registration is first come first serve.

Forgotten Children's Fund

Christmas Food, Clothing and Toys

Delivers Christmas food, clothing, and gifts to families with children; primarily for families with children, ages 3-13; prioritizes families with greatest and recent hardship.  Typically, the families they help are working families who do not qualify for assistance from other public or charitable organizations.  Families must submit an online application for assistance prior to Dec. 16th, 2021, if families have not been contacted by December 18th, they should seek other assistance.

Free Christmas Toys

New, unwrapped toys, legos, games, books, bikes, video games, and more may be offered. The applications are normally processed in November and early December.

Salvation Army - Tacoma and Pierce County

They serve Christmas meals, run the Angel Tree program, and offer other programs. Everything from free Christmas toys to food from a pantry, funds for heating bills, and vouchers are given to clients.

Catholic Charity Churches

There are several in Pierce County. Free Christmas toys as well as gift cards, meals and other holiday help. The primary address is 7050 S G St, Tacoma, Washington 98408. Call (253) 383-3697.

Oasis of Hope Foundation

Children and teenagers under the age of 19 can be given a free toy. There is also a chicken dinner and other Christmas meals served.

DSHS of Tacoma, Puyallup, and Lakewood

They provide toys to children under the age of 14, if the family already receives benefits, such as food stamps of Head Start. In order to get a toy, applicants need photo I.D, driver's license, and proof of income.

* The Free Toys for Tots programs are also offered from the DSHS Puyallup office at 201 West Main Street.

The Salvation Army - Kent, Auburn, Algona, Pacific

Christmas Toy Program

Description:

Provides toys for low-income families with children ages infant to 15.


Eligibility:

Low-income households with children ages infant through 15 living in Kent, Auburn. Covington, Algona and Pacific which can include zip codes 98001 (E of I-5), 98002, 98030, 98031, 98032 (E of I-5), 98042 (W of HWY 18), 98047, 98092 (Auburn only). Child must be between ages infant and 15 on the day they sign up.
