Introduction to Classical Medical Qigong:
cultivating a strong, energetic and harmonious body/mind/spirit

Free Introductory Class April 25th, 6-7pm

Classes held at Tibet House in NYC.

Program will be given in 2 sections:
(I) May 2, 9, 16, 6-7pm
(II) June 6, 13, 20, 6-7pm

Qi=breath, energy; gong=movement, exercise.  Classical Medical Qigong consists of authentic breathing practices drawn from the classical Taoist canon to improve health, calm the mind and nourish the spirit.  Program includes: physical warm-ups and  Hsing Yi (Body/Mind) Internals to increase energy, strength and flexibility and prevent illness.  It has been said:  "If you want to live to 100, practice Hsing Yi."  8 Brocades of Silk to nourish the organs, calm the mind, balance the emotions, and enliven the spirit.  Excellent for overcoming negativity due to illness, anger, depression and lethargy.  Standing Meditation to consolidate and maintain the energy cultivated.  These practices together create a wonderful sense of physical well-being and a harmonious body/mind/spirit.

The same program will be offered in both sections.  One does not have to take both.  But if you truly want to learn these forms, we strongly suggest that you take both sections.

People of all levels of health and experience are welcome.  Wear clothes you can move in, shoes with support, or go barefoot.  And bring water to drink.

A  DVD of the above practices will be available to facilitate a home practice.
