Summer afternoon concerts are coming back to Lincoln Square! Partnering for another season with the MTA Arts & Design's Music Under New York (MTA MUSIC), and thanks to sponsorship support from TD Bank, the Lincoln Square BID is bringing free entertainment to the neighborhood with the wildly popular annual Lunchtime Concert Series. Now in its 12th year, the concerts take place every Wednesday, rain or shine, beginning July 3 through August 28, from noon until 2:00pm in Richard Tucker Park at Broadway and 66th Street. The series will feature a wide range of music genres, from global funk to jazz to alternative rock!

Free West Side Shred Day
State Senator Jose Serrano and Assembly Member Linda Rosenthal will be hosting a summer West Side Shred Day event on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. During the event, Upper West Siders can bring personal documents to Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal's office at 230 West 72nd Street to shred the papers for free at a shredding truck on-site. 20th Precinct Build the Block Meeting
On Wednesday, July 17 at 7:30pm, Upper West Siders are welcome to attend a community meeting with 20th Precinct Neighborhood Coordination Officers Bridget Fanning and Roberto Vasquez. This Build the Block meeting will take place at Church of St. Paul the Apostle (entrance at 8 Columbus Avenue at 60th Street)Build the Block meetings provide locals with updates about the neighborhood and allow community members to share concerns. This meeting is free to attend. 
65th Street Weekend Closure
West 65th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West will  be closed Saturday, June 29 from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday, June 30 from 9:00am to 6:00pm to facilitate crane operation for the construction site.
