What Must I Do? | Luke 10:25-37
There are certain writings which stand the test of time. We have been given stories and poems and music which are seared into our consciousness because they are impactful to the values we hold dear or they are incredibly meaningful to our souls. One of those is our passage this week, which is the story of the Good Samaritan. This is a foundational text for the church, but these words of Jesus have huge importance for all kinds of people, no matter their belief system.
We will study this iconic passage this week, allowing the Spirit to minister to us as a group of people seeking truth and reminders of what it means to be loving to those around us.
What a joy to journey together in life!
See you in worship,
Pastor Colleen
“Like the Good Samaritan, may we not be ashamed of touching the wounds of those who suffer, but try to heal them with concrete acts of love.”
Pope Francis
“You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.”
Amy Carmichael
“God’s mercy is so great that you may sooner drain the sea of its water, or deprive the sun of its light, or make space too narrow, than diminish the great mercy of God.”
Charles Spurgeon
