Sunday Services | 8:30 & 10:15am

Restore One Another | Galatians 6:1-10

Language is unable to fully express the reality beyond sight and thought we experience in the Divine. That is, of course, to be expected due both to our limited senses and the immensity of the Transcendent Life. But what is interesting about Divine Revelation is that Scripture reveals the indescribable and the Holy Spirit interprets it’s message such that our eyes are opened and minds informed as we wholly submit to God.

This Sunday, we will be asking the Holy Spirit to speak through Paul’s letter to the Galatians in chapter 6:1-10. The purpose of this passage is to help us understand the depth of relationship God establishes within the church such that words like father and family, community and caring, salvation and restoration are only shadows of the reality we are meant to experience.

In preparation, take a moment to study this text in several different versions. You can find over 100 versions HERE by pulling down the arrow on the version choice which is now set at ASV (American Standard Version).

See you Sunday!

Thank you for your continued generosity to the Kingdom of God

Dear FMCSB family,

On Wednesday, September 2, at 6:45 p.m., God called my beloved mom home. My family and I are deeply grateful—and comforted—to know that she is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who conquered death, the last enemy, through his death and resurrection. She is free from pain and suffering (Rev. 21:4) and resting in her Father’s loving presence. Thank you for your steadfast prayers, love, and support as we accompanied her on her journey home.

We celebrated Mom’s 85th birthday on Tuesday, September 1, amid plenty of tears, laughter, and a heartfelt farewell. It was a beautiful and precious time of worshiping the Lord for his faithfulness and honoring Mom’s extraordinary life of unwavering faith and devotion to Christ. We are so grateful to God.

Please continue to pray for our family as we grieve with the hope we have in Christ (1 Thess. 4:13). In particular, please pray for my dad, whose 90th birthday we celebrated today, that the God of all comfort (2 Cor. 1.3) would surround him with his peace, strength, and consolation.

I also plan to return to the classroom this week. I’m deeply grateful for the friends and colleagues in my department who covered my classes last week and are willing to continue doing so next week and throughout the semester, as needed. With their support, I look forward to seeing and engaging with my students, whom I have been praying for over the past several weeks. Please pray for God’s strength, peace, wisdom, and sustaining grace.

Our family is also finalizing the details of Mom’s memorial service, which will take place next Saturday, September 12. We are grateful that, even amid our grief, the Lord has enabled us to work together in love and unity. Please pray that God would be glorified through the grace, love, truth, and faithfulness reflected in Mom’s life. As we return to work next week, please also pray that God would sustain us physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually and guide us through the grieving process.

With much gratitude,

Pastor Helen

We have learned that there is are paper supply issues happening right now and paper is not only hard to come by but also has become more expensive. Because of this we have made the decision to print less bulletins on Sunday morning. If you would be willing, please return your bulletin to the basket for the next service, or view the bulletin online. It's available each week on our website home page or on the church app. Thank you!
