Late last fall, I made the 10-hour trek to Turkey to visit our mills and see the newest yarns and fibers making their way in the European markets. Innovative textures had begun to work their way back into the marketplace as early as the previous summer - but three new qualities stood out for us above all others: Rozetti Yarns Marina , Tundra , and Flora.

In January, I traveled to New York for Vogue Knitting's Inaugural Event, Vogue Knitting Live, with members of my creative team to attend the event and see all that the Manhattan fashion scene has to offer. We spent a few extra days walking in and out of department stores and absorbing all the diversions that Manhattan has to offer, but from our first moments there, the key trends for the 2011 season were obvious: Ruffles are where it's at.
