💞This week-end we celebrated our Adoption Anniversary. February 20, 2014, is when the State of Tennessee officially recognized our littles as legal parts of our family although we had already been rearing them for three years.
💟Each year at this time we take a Family Week-end to do special activities and honor our adoption. This year is different as changes have occurred in our family that have been necessary but heart-breaking. The four of us are sticking together like glue because, if we don't, we are liable to come apart. This year is not the same but we are still counting our blessings. For this Family Week-end, Little Miss Homemaker, "Missy", said she wanted to document the day. I am so glad she did.
We started the day with a retina specialist appointment in Canton, Ohio, for me. (Good news on that front, praise God!). Then, we ate lunch at The Pizza Oven on Lincoln Way. We visited four thrift stores and found some goodies. Lastly, we landed at a place that Missy actually found for us, Milestone. It is a spectacular concept, in my opinion. Family-friendly and no screens, this place has board games galore with a table fee of $5 per person for as long as you'd like to stay. They offer food and it was pretty good! The place was clean, well-maintained and provided four hours of fun and laughter for the four of us.
The past year has been hard but the day sure was good. Each one of us was heard to say on the way home, "Today was a good day, a very good day." 💞
