The power of solar energy is now financially accessible to multifamily affordable housing with the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) program. SOMAH is here to help property owners get the process started. The SOMAH program is a statewide solar incentive program with a goal to put 300 MW of solar on multifamily affordable housing. Designed to maximize community benefits, the program requires a majority of the system to directly benefit tenants, but also provides significant incentives for common area loads. Around 3,500 multifamily affordable properties are eligible to receive incentives for installing solar across California and SOMAH has the tools and resources you need to learn more about this program.
