Come learn about what a concussion is, how they happen, and what you can do if one occurs. From the NFL, to Little League to falls and accidents, concussions are featured in the media regularly. A concussion is a brain injury, and it is an important injury to understand and treat properly.

Mark Eastham, M.D., worked as the Chief of Neurosurgery at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, CA. He received his degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School with an internship/residency at State University of New York Science, Health Science / Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. He has been board certified in Neurosurgery since 1992 and has had clinical faculty positions at SUNY DOWNSTATE and UCSF. Dr. Eastham has vast experience as a head trauma trial expert, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for BINBA. He is pleased to be participating in the concussion education program.

Krish Chinai is a junior at Branson High School in Marin County and is passionate about helping youth keep their brains healthy. He is on the Advisory Board of BINBA and is participating in the concussion education program as a presenter. His goal is to educate our youth to understand the importance of knowing how concussions happen and what to do if one occurs. Krish is committed to his community through volunteer efforts and has previously created an eyeglass exchange, EyeSightForAll.org, for those who are unable to afford eyeglasses.
