If you spec your new Cotic with either Sram Eagle GX mechanical or Shimano XT drivetrains, it is now no extra cost to upgrade to the super fancy wireless GX AXS groupset.

Ditch the gear cable for an even cleaner looking bike, get reliable and smooth shifting with very little maintenance and shift into the future (sorry!) at no extra cost. Cy has been running AXS on his main bike for around 2 years and definitely finds this the biggest advantage. No constant cable tension tweaking, just press and get a shift, every time.

As well as looking great, Sram AXS is fully customisable in the AXS app, you can tell the neat little shifter exactly what you want it to do. You don't have to, it'll plug and play (sorry again!) without the app if you'd rather just crack on and enjoy it's smooth and quiet shifting.

Battery life is very impressive, with the rechargeable battery on the mech lasting 20 hours of ride time and taking just an hour to fully charge from empty.

The derailleur even protects itself, the Overload Clutch can sense impact and disengage the motor, allowing the mech to move out of harms way. It then instantly returns to position, fast as lightening (I won't even apologise for that one!) so you'd never even know you clipped that root. Cy has extensively, ahem, "Real World Tested" this feature on his AXS drivetrain and it's all still working perfectly.

You can select a Sram Eagle GX AXS build on any of our mountain bikes.
