VITA - FREE TAX PREPARATION

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offers FREE tax preparation services to eligible individuals and families, earning less than $67,000 annually.

IRS Certified volunteers will be available to prepare tax returns on Tuesdays and Saturdays at United Way of West Central Connecticut's location (440 North Main Street, Bristol). Our goal is 500 returns for the 2025 tax season.

Thirty-Three Years of being United for Caring!

This year United Way of West Central Connecticut hosts the 33rd Day of Caring.

Nonprofits located in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, and Plymouth/Terryville, will have volunteers spend the day beautifying their landscapes, completing programs, and getting ready for warmer weather. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to learn how these nonprofits are important to supporting a thriving community.

Registration will open for nonprofits and volunteers in February 2025.

Join us for United Way of West Central Connecticut's

51st Annual Golf Tournament - a perfect way to kick off the summer golfing season!

We invite you to be part of the community on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington, CT for a fun-filled day of golf.

The event kicks off with registration and breakfast are at 8:00 am, followed by a shotgun start at 9:30. Lunch and post-game dinner will be provided and awards and prizes will be presented after the tournament.

Funds from the tournament support over 20 programs and initiatives that benefit individuals and families Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, and Plymouth.
