Free Tax Preparation Services Are Available Across The State
A Message from Richard Porth
President/CEO of United Way of Connecticut

Free tax preparation services for individuals and families with a tot al household income at  or below $55,000 in 2018 are available across Connecticut. The program is called VITA and stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. Trained, IRS-certified volunteers at VITA sites throughout Connecticut can help those eligible file their taxes for free and secure valuable tax credits such as the Child Tax Credit, Child and Dependent Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

Last year, VITA volunteers helped nearly 28,500 tax filers in Connecticut secure $54 million in tax refunds and credits. Click HERE to schedule your free tax appointment.
