Brand New: Free Training Programs

We want you to have your best race yet! We have put together free training programs and tips to help you prepare for your upcoming race. We have designed beginner training programs as well as intermediate training programs for the marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. Developed by the Air Force Marathon, these programs will help guide your training towards a successful finish on the third weekend in September. Don't forget to check out the training tips as well where you will find advice on shoes, clothing, socks, supplements, and nutrition.

25th Annual Air Force Marathon

The 2021 event will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Air Force Marathon! Join us the third weekend in September at the start line on the grounds of the National Museum of the United States Air Force where you will also finish on a historic flight line under the wings of vintage aircraft. Race weekend will include the following events:

Did you defer your 2020 registration to the 2021, 2022, or 2023 Air Force Marathon race weekends? If you would like to use your deferred entry for the 2021 Air Force Marathon, you must register using the information emailed to you in December. Please note you have not been automatically entered into the 2021 event and you will need to register yourself for this event. If you do not plan to use your deferred entry for the 2021 event, you do not need to take any further action at this time. We will reach back out to you again before the 2022 and 2023 events with next steps.

Are you not able to make it to Ohio for the celebration this year? For a second year in a row, we are offering a virtual race option where you may complete your event distance anywhere between September 11th-26th, 2021. After you complete your virtual race, we encourage you to submit your results by September 30th. We will then mail your race packet with your race amenities beginning in October.
The safety and well-being of the Air Force Marathon participants, volunteers, event staff, spectators, and sponsors is always our #1 priority. Based upon the information available today, we are continuing our preparations for the September event. Stay tuned for important event updates here.
Join our Flight Crew!

Don't forget, volunteer registration for the 2021 Air Force Marathon is now open. We have opportunities for individuals and groups at the two-day Health & Fitness ExpoBreakfast of ChampionsGourmet Pasta Dinner, pre-race, race day, and even post-race!

It takes over 2,400 volunteers to make up the Air Force Marathon Flight Crew each year and ensure a successful race weekend for everyone.

Blue Streak Time Trial

Registration for the June 8th Blue Streak Time Trial is now open with limited spots available. The remaining 2021 events will be held every second Tuesday of the month April through October. Learn more & register at
History & Heritage Race Series

Good luck to all 600+ participants running in the F-117 Nighthawk virtual race! Don't forget to post your results here. The fourth featured aircraft of this brand new series will be revealed on June 1st. Learn more & register at
The 25th Annual Air Force Marathon, presented by Northrop Grumman, USAA, and Boeing is scheduled for Saturday, September 18th, 2021. The Health & Fitness Expo is scheduled for Thursday, September 16th and Friday, September 17th. Race weekend will also feature a Breakfast of Champions and Gourmet Pasta Dinner on Friday, September 17th. Don't miss out on the Air Force Marathon After Party scheduled for Saturday, September 18th too!
