By attending this training, you will be able to:

Explain the cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial benefits of using poetry prompts with older adults and individuals with dementia, referencing current research and case examples.
Describe at least three ways poetry interventions can support communication and emotional processing in people with memory loss or verbal limitations.
Identify ethical considerations and person-centered practices when facilitating creative expression with aging and cognitively impaired populations.
Demonstrate how to implement a basic poetry prompt activity adapted for individuals with mild to moderate cognitive impairment.

Helpful Tips for CEU Creations CEU's from CarePatrol

Registration will remain open until shortly before the event begins. If registration has closed please contanct Michael Lamkin by text, 317-922-5558, and I will attempt to send you the zoom link. The Zoom registration should capture everyone's full name and email address so we can provide them with a certificate once we verify their information. Certificates will be sent out approximately 7 - 10 business days following the event.
Occasionally, people get confused when they log into Zoom for the event, and it asks them to register. Please note they registered for the event on our website, and Zoom will require them to register/log in with their full name and email address for the Zoom analysis to monitor their attendance.
At the close of the event, when the attendee exits using the LEAVE button, they will be redirected to the evaluation. If they leave the event by clicking the "X" the evaluation will NOT pop up. Knowing this happens, we send a backup email to each attendee with the evaluation link and a thank you for attending on behalf of CarePatrol and CEU Creations.
