California State Bar Chief Trial Counsel George Cardona will walk law students through the moral character determination process. California State Bar Court Judge Cynthia Valenzuela will explain the process for appealing an adverse moral character determination. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rita Badhan will speak to the importance of moral character throughout an attorney’s career.
The Office of Chief Trial Counsel (OCTC), conducts investigations, files discipline charges, and prosecutes attorney misconduct cases in the State Bar Court. OCTC represents the committee of bar examiners when adverse moral character determinations are appealed to the State Bar Court.
