Take Part In Our Free Featured Business Program
To support local businesses and fuel our economy, the City of Laguna Niguel launched a Featured Business program designed to highlight the spectacular restaurants, stores, establishments and companies that are the fabric of this dynamic community.

Guidelines for
Personal Service Industry
To ensure safe and clean environments for workers and customers, the State has provided new COVID-19 guidelines for expanded personal care services that go into effect June 19. The guidance applies to esthetician, skin care and cosmetology services; electrology; nail salons; body art professionals, tattoo parlors and piercing shops; and massage therapy (in non-healthcare settings).

Guidelines to Help You Reopen
The State released new industry-specific guidance for fitness facilities, restaurants, bars and wineries, hotels and short-term rentals.

The COVID-19 health guidelines are designed to help industries reopen safely and effectively during Phase 3. Read the guidelines at these links:

New EZ and Revised Full Forgiveness Applications for Paycheck Protection Program
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) posted a revised borrower-friendly Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan forgiveness application. In addition to revising the full forgiveness application, SBA also published a new EZ version application that applies to borrowers who:
• Are self-employed and have no employees; OR
• Did not reduce the salaries or wages of their employees by more than 25%, and did not reduce the number or hours of their employees; OR
• Experienced reductions in business activity as a result of health directives related to COVID-19 and did not reduce the salaries or wages of their employees by more than 25%.

Small Business Grant Relief
The Small Business Development Center and County are hosting an informational webinar regarding the Small Business Grant Relief Program at 2 pm on Friday, June 19.

Businesses and nonprofits can register for the final webinar here. The application period begins at 8 am on Monday, June 22 through 5 pm June 28. For more information about the program, click here.
Masks Required For Residents & Employees
Residents are now required to wear face masks in most public settings to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Governor Gavin Newsom said today.

The California Department of Public Health's new order comes as the state reopens the economy. Read the order here. In addition to the general public, employees are still required to wear masks for the health and safety of the community.
Many Restaurants Offering Outdoor Dining
The City continues to assist local businesses resume operations by issuing Temporary Use Permits to qualifying businesses.

Restaurants currently offering outdoor dining under the program include Romeo Cucina; Thai Bite; Jamba Juice; Chronic Taco; Belgium Waffle House; Zait Bistro; Handel’s Ice Cream; Flame Broiler; East Coast Bagels; Jersey Mike’s; Slice of the Pie; Las Golondrinas; Bistro K; Signature Sports Bar; China Moon; Daffy’s sandwiches; Bricco Pizza; and Signature Desserts/Pho. Beginning this weekend, Amber's Cantina; Fratello's Italian Restaurant; and Kaleyard Chinese Cuisine will offer outdoor dining.
