Research Roundup
New research over the past few months shed light on promising treatment strategies in gastric cancer.

University of Chicago researchers demonstrated in a study that when oncologists customize treatment approaches in gastric cancer based on the genetic makeup of tumors—and then adapt them over time to address treatment resistance, it—boosts survival rates.

A study found that interdisciplinary supportive care from a team of oncologists, nurses, dietitians and psychiatrists can extend survival in newly diagnosed gastric cancer patients.
