In addition, please be aware of two construction projects that may be impacting the City. Tomorrow evening, Caltrans will be closing the roadway underneath the Del Mar Avenue I-10 overpass from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday morning. In addition, please note that ACE will be performing intermittent lane reductions on San Gabriel Boulevard from Agostino Road to San Gabriel Trench from June 21 to June 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Now, here's what's making news for the week of June 20, 2018:
City Council approves new annual budget
In a unanimous vote, the City Council voted to approve the City's next annual budget. While the bulk of the budget maintains the status quo from last year's budget, the City will be adding a full-time position to Community Development’s Economic Development division.

In addition, the City will be spending $6.4 million on its capital improvement program, with $4.2 million devoted to street improvements, $1.3 million in sewer improvements, $183,000 in stormdrain improvements and over $600,000 in public facility and equipment improvements.
Construction notices: Del Mar Avenue
and San Gabriel Boulevard
Tomorrow evening, Caltrans will be closing the roadway underneath the Del Mar Avenue I-10 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday morning. The Thursday closure will also include the I-10 eastbound ExpressLane/high occupancy-vehicle lane, the I-10 Del Mar Avenue eastbound offramp lane towards San Gabriel Boulevard and the I-10 Del Mar Avenue westbound offramp lane towards Rosemead Boulevard.


In addition, please note that ACE will be performing intermittent lane reductions on San Gabriel Boulevard from Agostino Road to San Gabriel Trench from June 21 to June 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Free jazz concert this Thursday at the Playhouse
Visit the Playhouse this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy the first installment of our Jazz Nights series from June through August with the Elliott Caine Quintet with an evening of bebop, boogaloo and Latin jazz.

Enjoy San Gabriel's parks at night at Parks After Dark
Join us this summer for Summer Nights and Parks After Dark! Parks After Dark will get you out of the house and into your local San Gabriel park to enjoy exciting games and crafts. The program runs from June 19 to August 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays at Marshall Park and Thursdays at Vincent Lugo Park.

In addition, the first concert and movie in the park will take place at Marshall Park on June 22. Learn more about our exciting summer programs below.
