New Iberia Beneath the Balconies
NEW IBERIA, La. (September 6, 2017) -- On October 22, 2017, Main Street New Iberia will be transformed into a theatrical wonderland. Vocal, musical and dance performances will be staged along the street during the 8th annual New Iberia Beneath the Balconies. 

The following is a schedule of the afternoon’s festivities:
  • 12 – 2 p.m.  Cajun lunch, desserts and beverages for sale on the West Lawn of Shadows-on-the-Teche with entertainment by The Berry Classics
  • 2 – 2:20 p.m. Shadows Front Gallery   “Sinatra at the Shadows”
  • 2:20 – 2:40 p.m. Alvarez-Jordan Residence   “My Son Pinocchio”
  • 2:40 – 3 p.m.  Old State Bank Building   “Spirituals on the Bayou”
  • 3 – 3:20 p.m. Bojangles Restaurant   “Battle of the Bands"
  • 3:20 – 3:40 p.m. Broussard Poché   “Footloose”
  • 3:40 – 4 p.m. Roy Briggs Residence   “Anything Goes”
  • 4 – 4:20 p.m. Bouligny Plaza Gazebo   “La Belle Vie”
  • 4:20 – 5 p.m. Steamboat Warehouse Pavilion   “Dancing Across the Cultures”

Lawn chairs are suggested as only limited seating will be available. Wheelchairs and volunteer wheelchair assistants provided on a limited basis. Call in advance to reserve (337) 367-8746.

This free community celebration is made possible by Iberia Preservation Alliance and Main Street New Iberia Program . Come admire historic architecture while delighting in live theatrical vignettes from beneath the balconies of New Iberia’s award winning Main Street.
