Free Pattern, and Giveaway The Winter 2013 issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects will soon be on its way to your door or your favorite store! Once again, we are awed by the creativity and ingenuity of the designers in this business, and equally impressed by YOU, the happy makers of this beautiful work.

Warm and Cozy On page 23 of the Winter issue you will find a unique afghan project that combines wool fabric with crochet. “Scrap Happy,” by Kayla Pins, is a reproduction of a lucky find at an antique estate sale. This is something I could really wrap myself in while enjoying a hot chocolate in front of a fireplace. You can make “Scrap Happy” with a regular crochet hook, or make it easier on yourself with the Sharp Crochet Hook.

Happy Anniversary to Us! This week we celebrate Homespun Media’s three-year anniversary! Not yet three years of Primitive Quilts and Projects...that happens in April 2014. But October 2010 is when Gretchen, Jeni, and I started our little publishing business. That is when we lined up great designers and projects for the first four issues, and made decisions about the magazine’s layout, look, and feel. I’m not sure where the time went, but it sure has been a lot of fun. We extend a big thank you to all of you. You are the reason we do this!
