MARCH 2021 NEWSLETTER
Hello Friends,

It's the final month of the first quarter of 2021... giving us several things to ponder besides the weather prediction that 'March comes in like a lion, and out like a lamb.'

How did the month become named? “March” is named for the Roman god of war, Mars. This was the time of year to resume military campaigns that had been interrupted by winter.

3/8 is International Women's Day - Celebrating achievements of women and the progress made toward women’s rights, but also brings attention to ongoing struggles for equality around the world.

3/14 Daylight Savings Time - If your area observes it, don’t forget to “spring forward” and set the clocks one hour ahead, or you may find yourself an hour late to everything!

3/18 March Madness begins - 'brackets' and 'betting' come to mind.

3/17 St. Patrick's Day - of course - and please celebrate safely.

And finally, March is National Umbrella Month... you can't make this stuff up. Source for all of the above: The Old Farmer's Almanac

There, now you'll have lots to talk about as you log on to all those Zoom calls this week!

Our wish for you: Make this month the best it can be. Do whatever it takes to meet your goals. Reach for help when it's needed. Offer to help when you can.

We appreciate YOU... and hope the end of this month will bring smiles as you begin Q2 2021. Remember: DW Consulting Solutions is here to help!

With much gratitude ~

Debbie

March LinkedIn Tips
TIP 1 - Did you know your Activity on LinkedIn is directly related to how many Views you'll attract to your profile? To quickly generate Activity: Scan, don't read, your Home Page to look for Posts that resonate with you. React (Like, Celebrate, Support, etc.), Comment, or Share and your Network will be alerted to things you think are worth their time to review. NOTE: Check the # of Views to your profile on the left margin of your Home Page. The more, the better!
on!!
TIP 2 - When Commenting on a Post, use more than 5 words and strive to add value. Share your expertise or thoughts in a way that strengthens the post for everyone. This benefits you and the originator and helps to expand the visibility for all.

TIP 3 - Help to curb spam! Every post, invitation, and message will have 3 tiny dots in the upper right corner. Tap on them for options like Save, Copy link, Unfollow, or Report. Reporting is not a bad thing! It lets LinkedIn know your preferences but more importantly, it can also alert LinkedIn for inappropriate or spammy content - and they DO pay attention to those alerts.
