Nathan Alessandra, is a WWII Veteran who served as a Corporal in the Army 8th Air Force, 367th Bomb Squadron in Rackheath, England. His tour of duty was from January 13th, 1943 to November 25, 1945. Four of his six brothers served in WWII and unfortunately only three returned home safely. He turned 100 on July 2, 2022 with a special celebration in the Village of Hamburg!

We helped celebrate Mr. Alessandra's 100th Birthday by granting him his wish to see Shen Yun at Shea's. He is pictured with his daughter Linda, who accompanied him. We also provided him with a Tim Horton's gift card, as he likes to drive his scooter through the drive thru in Hamburg. Happy Birthday to this Veteran who fought for freedom!

The gift of freedom to move about. That's what Senior Wishes provided to Duane, a Navy Veteran, by providing him with a gently used power wheelchair. He had been unable to travel very far with his manual wheelchair and was pretty much limited to his apartment grounds. 

As soon as he got the new power chair, he immediately tested it out by going to the local store and back. He's also been able to go to Delaware Park and looks forward to traveling to Canalside. This is a life-changer for Duane, and we are so happy that we could make this happen for him!
