Dave Ross Announces Intentions to Join Freedom Caucus
Conservative candidate in VA07 makes public pledge
at Family Foundation Forum
Richmond, VA- Tonight at a candidates’ forum hosted by the Family Foundation, Dave Ross, Spotsylvania County Supervisor and the conservative candidate in Virginia’s 7th District, announced his intentions to join the Freedom Caucus.

“I am confident that my conservative voting record and my campaign’s message of fighting federal government overreach and increasing individual liberty will meet the perquisite requirements for membership,” said Ross. “I’ve been fighting for lower taxes, less government, and more freedom from the moment I was first elected, and I will continue to do so as the next congressman from Virginia’s 7th.”

No other candidate made this pledge during tonight's forum.

“I think all Republicans should seek membership in the Freedom Caucus,” continued Ross. “Freedom is what our party stands for. It was disappointing to see that not every candidate in this race is willing to publicly state their support for life, individual liberty and private property rights.”

The Freedom Caucus was formed in 2015 by conservative Republicans with the goal to steer congressional leadership back to the principles the Founding Fathers fought and died for.

The 7th Congressional District is made up of Caroline, Culpeper, Greene, King George, Madison, Orange, Stafford, and Spotsylvania counties, the City of Fredericksburg, and parts of Albemarle and Prince William counties. A Primary on June 21st will determine the Republican nominee.
