I Am the Future
A panel of artists discussed the past, present, and future of BIPOC creators at the 2023 Black New England Conference. "I don't want to call them BIPOC artists. They are artists," said moderator Bithiah Carter. "They are telling our intertwined story. Artists of color have been underrepresented in the arts, and we know why—because our stories are powerful." JAM wishes everyone a rousing Juneteenth holiday today.

Talented kids
And proud parents. Third- and fourth-grade classes from the Mt. Lebanon and Hanover Street Schools in Lebanon sang sweet songs at their spring Double Treble Concert. Kudos to music teachers Christine Greenough and Catherine Beasley—their hard work made the harmonies happen. "We are so proud of these kids and appreciate all the time they gave to the choir this year," said Greenough.
